Forms now fold away long text — cleaner, less overwhelming for membersNewImprovedBehind the scenes

Headlines

1. Forms now fold away long text — cleaner, less overwhelming for members

Rich text blocks inside forms can now collapse into a tidy header, so members see a clean layout rather than a wall of instructions. Planets building complex forms (waivers, onboarding, applications) can now organise content into expandable sections without any technical work.

2. Products grid now shows when each product was created and last changed

Administrators can see a Created and Last Modified column on the products list, and filter by those dates. At a glance, a team can now answer "what changed this week?" without digging through history.

3. Scheduling and recurring events now handle timezone edge cases correctly

Several fixes landed for how Orbit handles daylight-saving transitions, unusual year values, and the end-date of recurring rules. Schedules that straddle a clock change will now behave exactly as expected — no phantom duplicate sessions, no skipped occurrences.

Customer-facing improvements

  • Form open/close timing — the Opens and Closes fields on a form now read from the same clock, so a form closes exactly when the operator intended regardless of browser timezone.
  • Workflow "UNTIL" date — recurring workflow schedules now store their end-date in the schedule's own timezone, so a rule set to "end on 31 December" no longer creeps a day early for users in Australian timezones.
  • Marketing site breadcrumb — product-page navigation on the public marketing site now correctly highlights the full folder path, not just the root.

Behind the scenes

  • Automated quality checks now skip bot-triggered CI runs for the paid AI review suite — reducing unnecessary spend without changing the quality bar for real pull requests.
  • A Guardian confirm-panel test that could never fail has been fixed so it will actually catch regressions going forward.
  • End-user documentation was refreshed by the weekly automated sweep across multiple modules.
Receipts now show who a purchase was actually forNewImprovedBehind the scenes

Headlines

Receipts now show who a purchase was actually for

When a parent or guardian buys a membership, class pass, or product on behalf of a child, the receipt now names the child as the beneficiary — not just the adult who paid. Families get clear, personal confirmation that their child is enrolled and covered.

Transactions view becomes a proper product ledger

Staff can now filter the transactions ledger by product and see the product name and membership tier directly in the list. The CSV export carries those same columns, so finance teams get a spreadsheet they can use without reformatting.

Member chip hover tiles in product management

When adding or searching members on a product, hovering over a member now reveals a detail tile — quick context without leaving the page.

Customer-facing improvements

  • Embedded forms scroll correctly after submission — after a member submits a form embedded in a third-party page, the view now scrolls to the confirmation message rather than leaving them wondering if it worked.
  • Forms wait for family-group confirmation before submitting — a subtle but important fix: forms with family/hierarchy group fields now hold the submit button until those selections are fully confirmed, preventing incomplete submissions.
  • Guardian admin list correctly restricted — the guardian administration screen is now correctly gated to Planet Orbit (platform-level) administrators only, tightening access controls as intended.
  • "Purchase option" renamed to "tier" throughout billing — the transactions and billing screens now use the same "tier" label as the product designer, so staff see consistent language across the platform.

Behind the scenes

  • Embed security hardened — the scroll-to-confirmation message sent by embedded forms now targets the host page's specific origin rather than any origin, closing a minor cross-origin information leak.
  • Architecture decisions updated — two ADRs (covering guardian relationships and public profiles) were updated to record a new exception: a minor's legal name can appear on a receipt even when their profile is otherwise private. This keeps the platform compliant and the decision traceable.
  • User documentation refreshed — two automated sweeps updated end-user docs to reflect the transactions, guardian, and forms changes that shipped this week.

Founding offer terms. Open to anyone who registers as an Explorer through the Take Off form on this website and confirms their email address. Orbit’s staff, directors and their families are not eligible. Registrations are numbered in the order Orbit’s records show their email confirmed, and a person counts once. The 250th, 500th, 750th and 1000th confirmed Explorers each receive Orbit free for 10 months for one Planet of their choice, with a value of at least $1,160. The prize is not redeemable for cash, cannot be transferred and cannot be combined with another offer. Orbit will contact each winner at their confirmed email address, and a prize not claimed within 30 days may be offered to the next confirmed Explorer. After the 10 months, standard pricing applies. The offer ends when the 1000th confirmed Explorer registers. Orbit may change or end the offer if the law requires it or if it is being abused; a prize already awarded is not withdrawn.
